Creating CDR Dump Files

In order to provide the reports with historical utilization data which precedes the date at which CDR forwarding to ZPC was setup, import CDR dump files covering older periods by following the steps below.

Notes

  • The maximum file size which can be imported into ZPC is 5 GB.

  • Importing large files into ZPC will take a long time to process.

Requirements

  • Admin access to your CUCM

Steps

  1. Login as an administrator to CUCM.

  2. Go to Navigation > Cisco Unified Serviceability in top right corner and click Go.

     

  3. Go to Tools > Service Activation

     

  4. Select the relevant server from the Server dropdown and click Go

  5. Activate both CDR Services and click Save

    1. Cisco SOAP - CDRonDemand Service

    2. Cisco CAR Web Service.

  6. Go to Tools > CDR Analysis and Reporting.

     

  7. Go to CDR > Export CDR/CMR

     

  8. Select the desired dates and uncheck CMR records, then click Export to File and wait for your request to be processed.

     

  9. Follow the instructions to save the file on your machine.

     

  10. Go to the CDR Dump File Import page in ZPC and import the file you created.
